INTRODUCTION

Malaysia’s Best is a symbol of quality and food safety for the Malaysian agriculture products. It guarantees the users that these products have received the quality standard approved by Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security and international level standards such as Eurogap.The Malaysia’s Best programme was drafted in order to create one effective umbrella brand for the purpose of promoting Malaysia’s agricultural products for local and international market. It is also aimed to capture consumer’s confidence towards the quality and safety of domestic products and further enhance a good image for Malaysian agriculture products.

THE OBJECTIVE

The objective of the Malaysia’s Best branding programme is to increase the quality and safety of Malaysian produce so as to increase competitiveness and expand the market for high quality and safe products.

Towards this end, FAMA has been involved in planning and developing products for branding, encouraging the adoption of Good Distribution Practices (GDP) for branded products, as well as promoting the brand in local and international markets.

ELIGIBILITY

The categories of applicants are as follows:
  1. Individuals
  2. Private Companies
  3. Agencies/Statutory Bodies

The applicant must ensure:
  1. Have an active and valid myGAP certificate. The maximum validity period is two years
  2. Agricultural products are in compliance with FAMA GPL rules
  3. Agricultural produce produced is intended for domestic fresh sale or export.
